I love the new Apple iPhone, it is the most exciting product I have ever laid eyes to. I want one but I have a slight problem: Do I really need to buy the “phone”? I have a crackberry with another carrier which does the job of connecting to my corporate e-mail superbly. I really don’t want to buy another cell phone and another data plan. Even if I were in AT&T, I would not give up the crackberry, I can’t function without proper exchange access.
But I want the new iPod! The photo application, google maps, the wi-fi web browsing and everything else. The screen is gorgeous, I would watch a movie and gladly transcode my home videos. Without the “phone”, the iPhone is my dream convergence device. Any chance you can call the iPhone the new connected “iPod”, maybe allow me to load Skype on it for that occasional call and sell it to me? I would pay a kings ransom!
