Garmin Forerunner 305
I own a Suunto T6 complete with a foot pod, a bike pod and yes a GPS pod. It is a very frustrating instrument:
1. The user interface is completely counter intuitive. It feels like when one uses an HP 12c Financial Calculator for the first time
2. The Bike Pod is very difficlut to use. I am still trying to figure out how to get it to work.
3. The GPS Pod is a little better, but it records relative position so it is not possible to marry the data with Google Maps
4. The PC interface is cumbersome, and the Suunto software is bad.
When I was researching these types of devices, I had focused on the Suunto and various Polar watches and overlooked Garmin simply because the wrist unit was huge. At a recent lunch, Bruce Sachs who is an avid runner could not stop singing the praises of the Garmin 305. Looking more into the Garmin web site and reading user reviews, I can understand why especially after I got hooked to Motion Based.

I think I will upgrade to the Garmin soon.
